#2 The original WrestleMania 2000 main event
The majority of WWE viewers have the opinion that the Attitude Era was the best era to be a wrestling fan, but it is safe to say that one of the biggest events during that time – WrestleMania 2000 – did not live up to expectations.
The nine-match card was full of multi-person encounters, with a catfight between Terri Runnels and The Kat being the only singles match, and the show ended with Triple H retaining his WWE Championship against The Rock, Mick Foley and The Big Show in a ‘McMahon In Every Corner’ Fatal 4-Way match.
Speaking to talkSPORT’s Alex McCarthy in the build-up to NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff, Triple H revealed that he was originally due to face The Rock in an Ironman match at WrestleMania 2000.
However, Foley and Big Show were added to the match, which meant the Ironman stipulation was saved for the next month’s pay-per-view, Judgment Day, where HHH defeated The Rock in a 60-minute encounter following interference in the final minute from the returning Undertaker.
