#1 Zack Ryder’s conversation with The Undertaker

Zack Ryder took part in one of the most memorable matches of his WWE career in April 2019 when he teamed with Curt Hawkins to defeat The Revival for the Raw Tag Team titles at WrestleMania 35.

On the same weekend as WWE’s biggest show of the year, the former Intercontinental Champion proposed to his girlfriend, NXT Superstar Chelsea Green.

Speaking on the Notsam Wrestling podcast this week, Ryder said he hid the ring throughout the day of the proposal in a small Undertaker casket which came from a WrestleMania XV Grapple Gear playset.

When Ryder recalled the story to The Miz at WrestleMania Axxess, his former on-screen rival told him he should also tell The Undertaker.

Ryder said he did not want to discuss his love of collecting wrestling figures early on in his career, as the majority of his fellow Superstars at the time did not grow up collecting figures, but he now feels comfortable embracing his hobby.

“He [The Undertaker] was laughing about it. I would never have told him that story ten years ago but now I can go up to him and be like, ‘What up, Dead?’ and I can talk to him and everyone’s cool about it.”
