#2. Drew McIntyre vs Goldberg - WWE Championship - Royal Rumble 2021
Drew McIntyre was one of WWE's shining lights throughout the pandemic. He was able to capture the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 36.
It was the only WrestleMania in WWE history that was presented in an empty arena but McIntyre was able to defeat Brock Lesnar for the championship.
John Cena's father just broke his silence on his heel turn! More details RIGHT HERE
In the months that followed, McIntyre went on to lose the title to Randy Orton. He later won it back and was challenged to a match at The Royal Rumble by Goldberg.
The challenge didn't go to plan as Monday Night RAW was cut short and McIntyre was unable to go ahead with his planned promo. McIntyre was still forced to face Goldberg as part of the Royal Rumble match. For the first time as a challenger in a championship match since his WWE return, Goldberg was defeated.
There was worry heading into the match that Goldberg would defeat Drew but, luckily, this time around he was defeated. This was the best outcome since Goldberg didn't deserve to be part of the match in the first place.
