5 WWE couples who competed in Royal Rumbles on the same night

While there are couples who have entered Royal Rumble matches on the same night, this is the only instance where both Superstars were in NXT at the time. Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae were both surprise NXT entrants in their respective Royal Rumble matches in 2019.

Fresh off of defeating Ricochet for the NXT North American Championship one night prior, Johnny Wrestling entered the Men's Rumble Match at No. 6. He made a decent account of himself and even eliminated Jinder Mahal, before being thrown out by Dean Ambrose.

This came during Gargano's weird transitional phase as a heel, right before his big NXT title victory. Meanwhile, Candice LeRae remained a popular babyface on NXT. She entered the Women's Rumble Match at No. 17, along with various other stars from the Black and Gold brand.

Two years later, the Garganos are still in NXT. They are currently loving life, playing entertaining heel characters. While they could very easily repeat this feat multiple times in the future, it was quite the moment when Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae both entered the Royal Rumble less than two hours apart.
