5 WWE couples who competed in Royal Rumbles on the same night

Another big couple to appear in their respective Royal Rumble matches on the same night, Edge and Beth Phoenix could do it all over again this year. Whether that happens or not, the 2020 Royal Rumble will forever be a memorable outing for the Copelands. Both of them were well-received surprise entrants.

Edge returned to the ring after nine years away and had an incredible showing. He entered at No. 21 lasted over 20 minutes until the final three, after eliminating his ally (at the time) Randy Orton. Meanwhile, Beth Phoenix swapped her headset and notes for her gear and boots for one night.

She entered at No. 19 lasted over 20 minutes until the final three, after eliminating her ally, Natalya. That is quite the parallel, much like when Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch both won the Royal Rumble at the start of their relationship. The Rated-R Superstar and The Glamazon are also the only WWE Hall of Fame couple to achieve this feat.

Speaking of Edge and Beth Phoenix competing in Royal Rumbles on the same night, the two of them were in the same match in 2010. Phoenix entered at No. 6 and eliminated The Great Khali, while Edge made another surprise return from injury at No. 29 and won the match.

It may have been years before they were together, but Edge is 1-0 over his wife in WWE matches.
