#4. WWE Superstars Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae

Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae first met outside of WWE. They were both competing on the independent circuit when LeRae caught the eye of the former NXT Champion.

In an interview with AZ Central, Gargano revealed how he first met the former NXT Women's Tag Team Champion during an indie event in California.

"I remember [Candice] brought her cousin to the back, and they were just hanging out talking, and I decided I was going to try to get to [Candice] by talking to her cousin about her cellphone. It didn’t really work that well, but we developed a friendship," Gargano said.

The couple had their first date at a Subway at an independent wrestling show. On the independent circuit, the duo had a few one-on-one matches against each other, in which they both exchanged victories.

In 2016, the former NXT North American Champion officially signed with WWE after making several appearances on NXT. That same year, Gargano and LeRae announced their engagement in January and married in September.

In May 2017, LeRae joined her husband in WWE. The 36-year-old competed on NXT, where she held the Women's Tag Team Championships alongside Indi Hartwell. She has recently been out of action because of her pregnancy. Her husband has also not competed in two months.
