The departure of Cesaro from WWE takes away quite a few epic encounters that we may never see.

#2 Cesaro vs. Brock Lesnar could have been a fight for the ages

Back at WrestleMania 30, Cesaro was more popular than ever before. After picking up momentum in fantastic showings against John Cena and Randy Orton on the road to the show, the Swiss Superman turned on Jack Swagger and Zeb Colter of the Real Americans to turn babyface on the pre-show.

He then proceeded to win the first-ever Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal on the main card.

However, WWE reversed all that work by placing the Swiss with Paul Heyman. The same Heyman who managed Brock Lesnar to end The Undertaker's WrestleMania undefeated streak.

Heyman spent the duration of his time with the Swiss Superman bragging about Lesnar's accomplishments, which overshadowed everything his other client was doing.

This partnership with Paul Heyman could have set up a battle between him and the Beast Incarnate. Unfortunately, that never came to fruition. If it ever did, it would be an insane spectacle.

Brock's ability to take his opponents to Suplex City could mesh nicely with the Swiss Superman's amazing strength. These are the kind of matches most fans have wanted from Brock for years.

#1 Cesaro vs. AJ Styles is a dream match that would have had fans around the world excited

It is quite astonishing to realize that AJ Styles has been with WWE for six years now. The Phenomenal One has accomplished so much in a short amount of time. He is a grand slam winner, former Intercontinental Champion and a two-time WWE Champion. Since Styles was in the main event scene while the Swiss was in tag team competition, they surprisingly haven't crossed paths except once.

On the RAW after WrestleMania 32, Cesaro returned to the company after months away with injury. He was in a Fatal Four Way with Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, and AJ Styles. The brief interactions between the two men had the fans invested and wanting to see this confrontation.

Being two of the best in-ring workers in the world today, WWE booking a bout between these two is what should have been done long ago. Whether it be for championship gold or as a television contest, the quality would be extremely high and deliver something truly memorable.

That's why a showdown with AJ Styles is the best dream match for Cesaro that we may never get to see.
