Hulkamania vs The Rattlesnake

There are stars, there are megastars and then there are those who define eras altogether. Hulk Hogan was the wrestler around whom the then WWF was built in the 1980s. Along with owner Vince McMahon, he formed the foundation on which WWE has gone on to become the outright worldwide leader in the wrestling business wiping out all competition.

He has been widely proclaimed as the greatest wrestler of all times. Winning several championships and headlining in-numerous PPVs, he is the biggest Superstar of them all.

In the late 1990s WWE started facing stiff competition from the WCW and began losing out on the Monday Night Wars. Then came the Attitude Era which killed all WWE competition once and for all. 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin was the biggest Superstar of this era - in terms of wrestling, he was arguably even bigger than The Rock. Beer guzzling, foul-mouthed and anti-McMahon -- he was a Texas redneck whose character oozed attitude. Inside the ring, he was dominant and fierce.

These two men are the Superstars who made what the WWE is today. One who asked his Maniacs to eat their vitamins and the other who drank beer like it was water. One who made WWE the #1 show and the other who ensured WWE at that pedestal.

Two completely different characters who scaled similar heights in their wrestling careers. A true clash of the generations with their divergent values and persona. This match on its own would within seconds sell out arenas at the biggest venues possible.
