#1 CM Punk
The 2012 Elimination Chamber pay per view saw CM Punk defeat The Miz, Chris Jericho, Kofi Kingston, Dolph Ziggler and R-Truth to retain the WWE championship. One of the hardest things about the Elimination Chamber isn't capturing the title, but retaining it. During that match, Punk beat former World and Intercontinental champions in the process of retaining his title.
It was quite the distinction for Punk, who was in the midst of a run holding the title for over 400 days, a modern-day record that stood until it was broken by former NXT women's champion Asuka. Today, Punk appears to have moved on from wrestling, even if many fans haven't moved on from seeing him in the ring. Punk has competed in MMA as part of UFC and is rumored to once again step back into the octagon to show his worth in a fight against Mike Jackson. Punk appears quite content moving on from his wrestling past.
