She first won the Diva's championship at Survivor Series 2010 against Lay-Cool in a 2 on 1 handicap match. Since then she has very much settled for the role of the perfect gatekeeper for the women's division. She has been a supporting character in several women's storylines, most recently the Rousey one. Also, almost every wrestler who has to get over as a headliner goes through her. Her series of excellent matches helped Charlotte become what she is today. She won her second title 7 years later from Naomi at Summerslam 2017 but, served as a transitional champion for Charlotte to win the belt. Instead of having the spotlight on her, she's always ready to put newer talent over.
