#2. Jinder Mahal vs Drew McIntyre

Jinder Mahal has definitely had a forgettable 2020, since The Modern Day Maharaja has been part of just one WWE match. Mahal was out with a knee injury until April when the company thought that the former WWE Champion was set to make his illustrious return.

At the time, Drew McIntyre was the WWE Champion and, after a brief feud with his former 3MB teammate Heath Slater, it was decided that McIntyre would offer Mahal the same sort of spotlight.

Sadly for Jinder, he was almost instantly re-injured and it was reported that he then needed to have further surgery, which has since left him on the sidelines.

Drew McIntyre was recently able to talk about the intended feud as part of an interview with TalkSPORT:

When my mum passed etc, he was the one making sure I was OK. I think bringing that kind of stuff to television, I’m not afraid to talk about it and I think it would make compelling viewing while also create a really interesting character to take Jinder to the next level, because we need stars right now. A situation like that would really help both of us and be entertaining for the audience.”

If Drew McIntyre is still WWE Champion when Jinder Mahal makes his return, then this could be a feud that WWE looks to revisit in 2021.
