#1 Samoa Joe vs Seth Rollins

If the finish to this week's King of The Ring quarterfinals match between Samoa Joe and Ricochet was any indication, it is that the company is finally starting to protect The Samoan Submission Machine. Joe is one of the favorites to win the KOTR tournament.

Rollins was the very first victim of Joe's wrath when he debuted on the main roster in 2017. The duo had a short-lived feud following WrestleMania 33 which Rollins won. Although we have seen the two former ROH standouts cross-paths several times in the recent past, they haven't really had a lengthy singles feud.

Despite being one of the most popular Superstars on the roster, Joe has been a chocker when it comes to championship matches. The California-native has come inches close to winning a world title on multiple occasions.

At this moment, there aren't many credible heels on RAW who can challenge Rollins for the Universal Championship. Drew McIntyre momentum has taken a severe hit over the past few weeks and we don't want to see the company rehashing the Rollins-Styles feud once again. Joe is someone, who despite his win-loss record, will always remain over with the crowd.

Joe vs Rollins for the Universal Championship could be a great feud heading into the fall. Joe is someone who is known to push his opponents to the edge.

Just think of the kind of things that Joe would do to get under the skin of Rollins. Rollins and Joe are two of the best in-ring performers in the company today and the matches between them will be nothing short of astounding.
