#1 WWE Evolution DVD
This past October, WWE made history in broadcasting its very first all female PPV event. Such a feat would have been unthinkable as recently as five years ago, but is a testament to the excellent female talents who have risen through the ranks of late, and WWE affording them more opportunities than ever to thrive in the limelight.
The all female show didn’t only happen, though—it was good. Evolution wound up in contention for the best WWE main roster PPV of the year. There were no truly bad matches on it, the Last Woman Standing bout between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair was a borderline match of the year contender, and Ronda Rousey’s main event match with Nikki Bella delivered, too.
Sure, hardcore fans tend to have the WWE Network, and so buying physical media of this event feels a little redundant. This show represents a special enough moment for women’s wrestling and its fans, though, that it’s worth paying a little extra for this Walmart exclusive release to reinforce to WWE that we want more of this kind of programming, and that girls looking up to female Superstars need it.
