#4. WWE Hall of Famer Triple H sees Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley as the future of women’s wrestling
Triple H is currently leading the future of WWE by building up new talent as Superstars on NXT. Since the rise of the brand, WWE has seen several top competitors come up to RAW and SmackDown and make it big in the industry after getting initial exposure in NXT.
While Triple H has praised several former and current NXT Superstars, including Sasha Banks, Finn Balor, Bayley, and Karrion Kross, there are two women he sees as the company's future.
"It's one thing to say somebody is good today. It's one thing to say where they will be tomorrow. If I had to be a betting man and lay money down and look across the board of everybody in this industry three years from now, five years from now, what is the layout at the top? [points to Rhea Ripley] Number one."
Rhea Ripley is at the top of Hunter’s list along with current WWE NXT Women’s Champion Io Shirai, who he believes is the best women's performer in the world. Shirai has managed to deliver some excellent matches in NXT, and she is looking to dominate the women’s roster for some time before moving to another brand.
Triple H seems to have the right Superstars on his radar, and there’s no doubt that Shirai and Ripley could turn out to be the next Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair of WWE.
