#2 WWE legend Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle is one of WWE's greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He has had memorable bouts with legends like The Undertaker, John Cena, Brock Lesnar, Shawn Michaels, and Triple H.
At WrestleMania 35, Angle battled Baron Corbin in his retirement match, making a return to the squared circle after 11 long years, and lost the match. The Olympic Gold Medalist looked jaded in this contest with age certainly showing on his atheticism and in-ring manouvers.
The previous year at WrestleMania 34, Angle and Ronda Rousey beat the team of Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. One would think this would've been a better farewell match for the legend.
#1 WWE legend Bret 'The Hitman' Hart
Bret Hart is arguably the best technical wrestler to step foot in a WWE ring. The Excellence of Execution returned to WWE in 2009, 12 after the Montreal Screwjob.
Hart beat Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 26 to extract revenge for 1997, albeit in storyline. At SummerSlam the same year, he was a part of Team WWE against The Nexus. The match seemed a bit out of place for the WWE Hall of Famer as he was disqualified minutes after he hit Skip Sheffield aka Ryback with a chair.
Honestly, Hart should not have competed in the multi-man tag match. Due to his lack of ring-time and age, his manouvers and gifted technical ability had lost momentum. But it seems like the desire to entertain the WWE Universe with one more match was too good to resist.
Despite the bout, Hitman's legacy will remain etched in the memory of his fans as one of the greatest wrestlers ever.
