Rob Van Dam is by no means in bad terms with WWE. RVD has always been in good terms with the company and has always done what he was told to do while performing as a competitor.

The fact of the matter is that due to his current relationship with Impact Wrestling, it would be very unlikely that WWE would reach out to him for an appearance. It's not like it hasn't been done before. Ric Flair once appeared in the 2012 Hall of Fame while being with TNA while Christian, a WWE superstar at the time, returned for an appearance at Slammiversary 10.
Either way, it's understandable as to why WWE wouldn't approach him, even though WWE fans would love to see RVD back for one night. We hope he does well at Impact Wrestling.
