SmackDown Live was in Milan for another action-packed live event with some interesting matchups ahead of Survivor Series.
Three titles were on the line as Baron Corbin, The Usos and AJ Styles were made to work while The Bludgeon Brothers were in action against the Ascension, who had a surprise third partner.
The women also did their bit in Milan in a huge tag match that had a bit of a beating for James Ellsworth at the end of it all.
#1 Bobby Roode vs. Dolph Ziggler
Carrying on their feud from a couple of weeks back, it wasn’t surprising to see the duo fighting it out in Milan as they were not in action on the last episode of SmackDown Live.
Continuing his streak against ‘The Showoff’, Roode picked up the win and that will certainly be a sour note for Ziggler.

#2 Mike Kanellis & The Bludgeon Brothers vs. Tye Dillinger & The Ascension
This certainly was an odd-ball pairing for both teams as Kanellis has not been seen on SmackDown live for a number of weeks while we have mostly seen vignettes of Luke Harper and Eric Rowan on the show.
Dillinger and The Ascension nevertheless dusted off the cobwebs and duly defeated the Kanellis-Bludgeon Brothers team and, hopefully, we'll see some of these stars in action on the next episode of SmackDown Live

#3 Baron Corbin vs. Sin Cara for the United States Championship
Another feud that just will not die down, Corbin defended his title against the Luchador, as he had done in another Live event in Leeds.
Corbin did pick up the win over Sin Cara and ‘The Lone Wolf’ seems to be on a streak and has turned his career around after not being able to cash-in his Money in the Bank contract a few months ago.

#4 Randy Orton vs. Rusev
A rematch from last week’s SmackDown. Rusev would have been looking to get revenge on ‘The Viper’.
That loss ended Rusev’s hopes of making it to the SmackDown Survivor Series team and once again he fell short as Orton picked up the victory.

#5 Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair & Naomi vs. Carmella, Lana, Natalya and Tamina
It doesn’t really make a lot of sense for Lana to be named in these sorts of matches, as the ‘Ravashing Russian’ simply doesn’t add much to the team.
Nevertheless, it was an easy win for the babyfaces as James Ellsworth was beaten up once again. This time he had to deal not only with a Superkick but also with The Worm, a Stunner and even a Mandible Claw!.
Enjoy!

#6 The Usos vs. The Hype Bros vs. Breezango vs. Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable in a Fatal 4-way match for the SmackDown Live Tag Team titles
The Usos were back to full-strength despite looking to be out after last week’s SmackDown Live show where Gable attacked the knee of one of the team members.
The champs, however, were able to keep hold of the title despite being part of the Fatal 4-way and ensuring their feud against Benjamin and Gable continues on for another week at least.

#7 AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Shinsuke Nakamura in a Triple threat match for the WWE Championship
Jinder might have been looking for some revenge after Styles defeated him for the WWE Championship in last week’s SmackDown. The pair were joined by Nakamura, who was also looking to pick up the title for the first time.
Styles still came out on top of the match, like he did a couple of nights ago in Leeds, as he retained the title as he prepares to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series in a champion vs champion clash.
