#2 Former WWE 24/7 Champion Elias
WWE doesn't seem to have any plans for Elias at the moment. Elias originally left NXT after losing a Loser Leaves NXT match against the unfathomably underrated Kassius Ohno, but as the repetitive vignettes suggest, he is no longer the same person.
The company didn't have any end plan for the vignettes. His suggested rebranding was too similar to the gimmick of Randy Savage to be considered a viable option.

The Drifter has disappeared from our screens, and a new version of Elias can enter WWE NXT and become a part of the brand's midcard.
#1 Former WWE Champion Seth Rollins
It makes complete sense for the first-ever NXT Champion to return to NXT and face the reigning champ in a match. Even a non-title between Tommaso Ciampa and "The Messiah" would mark intrigue and in-ring brilliance.
Rollins is currently embroiled in a feud that will see him challenge for the WWE Championship on Day 1. However, a showdown between Rollins and the reigning NXT Champion could very well be seen as the last hurrah for the black-and-gold brand. Such a match must take place before Ciampa finally loses the title to a new "2.0" star, possibly the electric Bron Breakker.
