#2. Goldberg vs. Seth Rollins
In 2016, Seth Rollins and Goldberg had a heated verbal exchange.
The Visionary, in an appearance on ESPN 2’s sports talk show First Take, said this when asked about whether he could beat Goldberg:
Did you know a top WWE Superstar just wrestled outside the company? More details HERE
"I am a young buck, I am a young stallion. No offence to Goldberg but his day has come and gone.”
The Hall of Famer didn't take this too kindly and responded on First Take:
"Hell no, I’m not past my prime, Rollins is just trying to get a little rub, which is gonna put him in the hospital. So he better pray to God when I beat Brock [Lesnar] that I don’t have anymore in me because his head will be served on a platter."
Despite the tense battle of words, the two couldn't lock horns at the time. Having said this, a match between Rollins and Goldberg could take shape in 2022. The contest will be a spectacle the WWE Universe would not want to miss.
#1. Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns
Roman Reigns and Goldberg were scheduled to lock horns at WrestleMania 36 for the latter's Universal Championship, but the match never happened.
The Tribal Chief took a break due to the pandemic and was replaced by Braun Strowman.
Having said this, Goldberg, in a recent interview with DAZN, named the reigning Universal Champion as the man he wants to face next:
"Obviously, I want Roman bad. I want a piece of somebody from Georgia Tech. Like, I can taste it. The comparisons, the football background, I truly believe that’s a match that needs to happen. Am I clamoring for it? Am I begging for it? Am I holding my breath for it? No, I do what my job asks me to do. I do what my boss asks me to do to the best of my ability, and then I ask for them to point me in the next direction."
If this sees the light of day, it will be a once-in-a-lifetime match pitting Reigns against Goldberg. A true delight for fans.
