Another post-WrestleMania event that is no longer a part of WWE’s PPV calendar is WWE Backlash. The pay-per-view is the best remembered by the fans for AJ Styles’ first WWE Championship win and even Jinder Mahal’s shocking WWE title triumph.

Back in the day, Backlash was one of WWE's most popular PPVs outside the Big 4. The in-ring wrestling has been superior while the segments have also been entertaining. Also, this pay-per-view has a special place in the hearts of the fans because of Edge’s WWE World Heavyweight Championship win in 2009 against John Cena after a grueling Last Man Standing match.

Since the Rated-R Superstar is back, the company would love to have him perform at the same pay-per-view event once again. Legendary names like Kane, The Undertaker, Triple H, The Great Khali, Shawn Michaels, Batista, Hulk Hogan, Goldberg, The Rock, and Brock Lesnar have been a part of this show.

Looking at the rich history of the event, WWE would want to have it back on its PPV calendar once again.
