Fan favorite RVD was overlooked in favor of Bobby Lashley.

The only ECW exclusive pay per view (despite featuring Superstars from RAW and SmackDown), December to Dismember is not remembered fondly.

After a bizarre show, which had seen ECW original Sabu written out of the main event, the only potential saving grace was the Extreme Elimination Chamber.

Despite this being one of WWE's most barbaric matches, the company had already lost the fans at this point, with things made worse by having mid-carders such as Test and Hardcore Holly in the demonic structure.

The icing on the cake: having Bobby Lashley win the match, and the ECW Championship, the sole focus of Vince McMahon., with the boss being very clear, according to Hardcore Holly's book:
