This match was the peak of an awful year for WWE.

1995 has often been seen as the worst year for the WWF.

With Kevin 'Diesel' Nash riding high as World Champion, the fans were quick to reject the big man, favoring smaller Superstars such as former Champion Bret Hart, and up-and-comers such as Shawn Michaels.

Clearly, the company weren't listening to their fans, as they decided to have Diesel face the colossal King Mabel at Summerslam.

To say this match is dull is a gross understatement, as Mabel revealed his oft-alluded to 'Royal Plan', which ended up being just crushing Diesel in the corner.

Despite the efforts of those on commentary, including McMahon himself, fans could not have cared less about these two. Diesel got the pin, retained the Championship and fans wonder to this day how the company survived this truly awful year.
