#1 WWE Capitol Punishment
WWE Capitol Punishment took place on June 19, 2011. Over nine thousand fans were in attendance as the show received a buy rate of 170,000. The main matches that night were John Cena defending the WWE Championship against R-Truth and Randy Orton putting the World Heavyweight title on the line against Christian.

This WWE pay-per-view would also see superstars from both RAW and SmackDown receive pushes. Dolph Ziggler won the United States Championship for the very first time and Alex Riley achieved his first PPV singles win against The Miz. Ezekiel Jackson claimed the Intercontinental Championship from Wade Barrett at the event as well.
It was also the slow beginning of The Summer of Punk, as CM Punk was slowly moving on his own. Punk defeated Rey Mysterio without any interference from The New Nexus.
WWE Capitol Punishment was expected to happen in 2012, but it was replaced with a return pay-per-view, No Way Out instead. No Way Out 2012 would end up receiving higher buys than WWE Capitol Punishment with a rate of 194,000 buys.
