Now, picking someone like SmackDown star King Corbin ahead of, say, Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura or the Lucha House Party may seem like a controversial decision, but this is something that was pitched by WWE Hall of Fame-elect JBL himself.
Fun conversation, thanks. I could've talked wrestling all night. Appreciate the invite to be on your show. https://t.co/T1MiuY4U2a
JBL expressed his willingness to manage none other than prolific SmackDown star King Corbin during a Sportskeeda interview. In fact, JBL actually went on to state that he thinks the world of Corbin and because you don't want a manager who's taller than the wrestler, Corbin and JBL would make a perfect alliance.
How long is King Corbin going to continue with the king gimmick? The idea that you win the King of The Ring tournament and suddenly wear a cape and crown is outdated enough. But, the King Corbin gimmick has CERTAINLY run its course.#SmackDownpic.twitter.com/0DP56oMlfj
And let's be honest, the whole 'king' shtick with Corbin has run past its due date, and a possible new gimmick with JBL by his side could be the best course of action for this SmackDown star.
Feel free to glance through the RAW and SmackDown rosters and let us know a few WWE Superstars, who, in your opinion, could certainly benefit from having a manager and maybe even a significant change in character.
