Rhyno has appeared sporadically in tag matches on Raw with Heath Slater over the last year, losing against duos including Akam & Rezar, Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre, Bo Dallas & Curtis Axel, Bray Wyatt & Matt Hardy and Bobby Roode & Chad Gable.

His biggest storyline during that time came in December 2018 when he lost a match against Slater on Raw which resulted in him being ‘fired’ from the show, per the orders of authority figure Baron Corbin. Following Corbin’s removal from the Raw GM position, Rhyno returned on Christmas Eve to help prevent Slater from being attacked by Jinder Mahal and The Singh Brothers.

Sadly for the ECW legend, the resulting 3-on-2 handicap match against Mahal and his sidekicks ended in defeat, which means he still hasn’t won a match on Raw since he teamed with Slater to pick up a victory over Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson in a Street Fight in October 2017.
