Finn Balor and Cathy Kelley while the backstage correspondent was working with WWE NXT back in 2017. The pair were in a relationship for many years until the couple opted to go their separate ways.

Kelly was signed to WWE on their NXT brand back in 2016 just before Balor was promoted to the main roster in April that year. Balor was injured and sidelined at SummerSlam 2016 before he made his return to NXT in February 2017.

Some believe Kelley and Balor's relationship started before the inaugural WWE Universal Champion returned to the main roster a few months later.
Kelley and Balor later broke up. In June 2019, Balor announced that he was dating Fox Sports host, Verónica Rodríguez, before the couple got married just a month later.
Kelley was part of WWE for four years where she made occasional appearances on the main roster but she mostly acted as a member of NXT's broadcast team.
Kelley announced that she was leaving WWE in February 2020. Finn Balor made his return to NXT back in 2019, following his loss to "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt at SummerSlam.
