The WWE is reportedly hoping fans will stay longer for WrestleMania week

In the past, NXT TakeOver being on the Saturday has allowed for a solid 4-days of non-stop wrestling for fans, with TakeOver being followed by WrestleMania, then RAW on Monday, with SmackDown Live on the Tuesday ending the marathon.

According to several reports from Rajah.com, moving TakeOver to earlier in the week has been a strategic decision from WWE to get fans to spend more time in the host city, as many in the past would skip events such as the Hall of Fame, instead of showing up on the Saturday Takeover.

WWE obviously have contracts with their host cities, which for WrestleMania 35 will be East Rutherford, New Jersey, so bringing more fans to stay in the city for longer may be a very profitable decision for both the WWE and the host.
