According to the Ringside News, many Saudi fans who attended the WWE's Crown Jewel event were saddened and "felt betrayed" by John Cena choosing not to perform at the event.
Cena, who has been very much a company man, decided not to appear after there were calls to postpone or move the show following the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, allegedly on the orders of the Saudi Government.
Cena however, wasn't the only man to pull out of the event, as Daniel Bryan also refused the show, though the report did not mention how the Saudi fans felt about this.
Cena has been appearing less and less in recent months, so it's not surprising that loyal fans of his would feel betrayed after the former World Champion was advertised but didn't appear.
No amount of Bobby Lashley can quite match the Champ.
