#1 Shouldn't: Howard Finkel suffered a stroke
A wrestling legend suffering from poor health is bad news for everyone. And, if the person is WWE's longest-tenured employee, it is even worse.
Jerry Lawler broke the alarming news in his 'Dinner with the King' podcast this Friday. He couldn't reveal any major details but speculated that he might have suffered a stroke. Here is the transcript (via wrestlinginc.com):
"I just heard not long ago that Howard [Finkel] is in really, really bad health,"
"Not good at all. He may have had a stroke. I'm not sure but I just know that he's not doing well."
Howard Finkel began working for Vince McMahon Sr.'s World Wide Wrestling Federation (WWWF) in 1975. One of the most memorable feuds in which he had been involved was at Summerslam 1998.
He was at the corner of X-Pac in his 'Hair vs. Hair' match against Jeff Jarrett. After X-Pac's victory, Finkel helped X-Pac in cutting Jeff Jarrett's hair.
