5 rumoured WWE storylines from 2017 we want to see

#1 Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles

Nakamura vs. Styles won't happen at SummerSlam but may take place down the road.

A rumour from Cageside Seats suggested that we could see AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura at this year's SummerSlam, and though that obviously isn't happening, Sportskeeda's own Billi Bhatti reported earlier this year that the match is instead pencilled in as SmackDown's WrestleMania 34 main event.

Regardless of when Nakamura vs. Styles might happen, it's safe to say that it is a true dream match between two of the best in-ring performers and most popular stars in WWE.

The two superstars actually faced off at New Japan's Wrestle Kingdom 10 event, which is essentially NJPW's version WrestleMania, in January 2016, but they've yet to face off in WWE and have the perfect clash of styles (no pun intended) that could produce a Match of the Year contender.

With Styles and Nakamura currently positioned as the top two babyfaces on SmackDown, this is one rumour that may ultimately come true and should be absolutely fantastic if it does.
