#3. Lita and Kane

Lita and Kane were together, but far from harmoniously

There are few WWE Superstars more sinister than Kane, the Big Red Machine.

Back in the mid 2000s, Kane was involved in an unlikely and, at times, controversial love triangle with Matt Hardy and Lita.

Kane developed an unnatural interest in Lita and would begin to 'stalk' her on WWE programming, with Lita's ex, Hardy, having to come to her rescue and paying the price physically as a result.

The Devil's Favourite Demon agreed to leave Lita be - only if the former Women's Champion spends the night with him. Lita would fall pregnant, with the father of the baby believed to be Kane's, only to be confirmed as Matt's. Following us so far? Good.

WWE's oddest couple? Lita and Kane

This whole thing needs to come to ahead, and Kane and Hardy wrestle one another at Summerslam, with the crackers stipulation that the winner get to marry Lita. Sure enough, Kane gets the W and, as a result, Lita marries him and solidifies another horrible WWE coupling.

It was never a truly perfect partnership of course. Lita spent most of her time at Kane's side costing him matches. Lita's character would go on to 'lose' her baby, as Kane began a feud with Gene Stitsky. Defending her honour, Kane actually went on to being booked as an unlikely babyface, Lita then turning on him to align with Edge.
