5 WWE SmackDown Superstars who can appear on Raw on the road to Survivor Series

Ambrose has some friends on Raw

WWE’s buildup to Survivor Series has been a solid one so far. While the Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar feud was completely limited to Monday Night Raw; the three traditional elimination matches for the pay-per-view benefited from the bi-weekly booking that it got.

Both Monday Night Raw and SmackDown Live made their respective moves for the matches each week but the cross-brand approach has not been dragged into the situation yet.

Superstars of a certain brand showing up on the other brand is something that could light things up and just like we took a look at the Raw superstars that could show up at SmackDown Live, in this list, we are going to take a look at the SmackDown superstars that could show up on the go-home episode of Monday Night Raw.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#5 Dean Ambrose

A tease would be good

Why: For teasing a Shield reunion. When the brand split happened, the former Shield members were split across the two brands. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins went to Monday Night Raw while Ambrose settled on SmackDown.

The only possibility that the fans had of seeing them together was during shows like Survivor Series where both the brands have a place. If Ambrose shows up on Raw, WWE could tease a Shield reunion, forcing people to tune into the Survivor Series elimination match.

How: Being the lunatic that he is, Ambrose does not need any permission from anyone to show up on Monday Night Raw. He is a rebel and that’s how WWE should keep him. Ambrose could show up backstage on Raw and cause chaos throughout the show and during these segments, WWE could also let Ambrose cross paths with Reigns and Rollins. And all of this could happen on the go-home episode of RAW.

#4 Kalisto

WWE needs to hype him

Why: His shot at the Cruiserweight championship is at Survivor Series. The name of Kalisto was thrown around a lot when WWE announced their Cruiserweight division, but unfortunately, Kalisto was drafted to SmackDown. Now, he has a huge opportunity on his hands and could bring in the whole Cruiserweight division with him to the blue brand.

WWE needs to make him look strong before that, and an appearance for the Cruiserweight division on Raw could be a great way to do so.

How: Kalisto could be brought in to challenge any of the Cruiserweight wrestlers on the Raw roster. For instance, if WWE lets him face TJ Perkins on Raw and Kalisto ends up winning, he all of a sudden becomes a huge contender for the title against Kendrick. At the same time, it will hype the Kalisto vs. Kendrick match as well.

#3 The Spirit Squad

Comedic relief

Why: Comedic relief is what the Spirit Squad could give on Monday Night Raw. The return of the Spirit Squad has not received the hype that it should’ve got but a cross-brand appearance could change things.

They could be set up as jobbers which could make the team members of Raw look good and at the same time, make Spirit Squad vulnerable to punishment on SmackDown, leading to an interesting storyline after Survivor Series.

How: Kenny and Mikey could show up on Monday Night Raw and issue an open challenge to any tag team on the Raw roster. They could then be squashed by any team (preferably New Day) and be embarrassed.

#2 Baron Corbin

Corbin vs. Reigns anyone?

Why: Baron Corbin was the biggest loser last week. He was pulled out of Survivor Series due to injury and was replaced by Shane McMahon. But WWE is yet to let us know the extent of his injury, leaving this storyline wide open.

Considering that Corbin has the talent to be a main event star in the shallow SmackDown roster, he needs to have a place on the Survivor Series card.

How: Corbin could show up on Monday Night Raw and say that he is still fit to compete at Survivor Series and that he was not given a chance by Shane McMahon. He could take this complaint to Stephanie McMahon, who could give him a shot at the United States championship on Sunday Night saying that Raw is the land of opportunities.

As Ziggler is already putting the Intercontinental championship on stake, Stephanie wouldn’t mind having the US title on the line as well. Reigns will have to pull double duty but on Sunday night, WWE could play out the injury angle of Corbin and protect both the wrestlers during the match, irrespective of the result.

#1 Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan

Raw bound

Why: This is a confirmed appearance from WWE. It was announced last week that Shane and Bryan would be appearing at the show. However, the question here is about how WWE could book the appearance of these two.

How: There are a lot of possibilities in which WWE could book Shane and Bryan for Raw. First, they could simply come in and be treated as guests on the show. This, however, fails to deliver the purpose of building up Survivor Series. Alternatively, Shane and Bryan could be subjected to a beat down by the heels on Raw.

Remember the time when Nexus debuted? A beat down similar to that would be enough to rally up the fans. The third option is an all-out war between SmackDown and Raw. Shane and Bryan could bring along the members of Team SmackDown as security so that a war breaks down between the two brands at the end of the show.

With only one episode of Monday Night Raw to go, it would be interesting to see if we could witness any of these appearances.
