#2. Kai En Tai
With the recent success of Asuka and Shinsuke Nakamura you would be forgiven for not remembering how Japanese wrestlers were treated in the WWE/WWF during the 90s and early 2000s. Many talented wrestlers tried to make a name for themselves in the WWE but were saddled with bad gimmicks and never managed to breakthrough.
Many fans remember Kai En Tai as a tag team consisting of Funaki and Taka Michinoku, but the name was originally used for the faction of Shiryu, Mens Teioh, and Dick Togo. Funaki and Taka would join the group shortly after its formation. The groups most famous came when they attacked Val Venis with a samurai sword and threatened to cut off his genitalia.
