5 WWE stars who must be part of Royal Rumble 2025

WWE Royal Rumble will air live on February 1 from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The winners of the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble matches respectively will earn World Title shots at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

John Cena, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, LA Knight, and Jey Uso have already announced that they will be competing in the Men's Royal Rumble Match next month. Several stars must also enter the match in a few weeks to attempt to earn a World Title shot at The Show of Shows.

Listed below are five WWE Superstars who must compete in this year's Royal Rumble.

#5. Seth Rollins must be in action at WWE Royal Rumble 2025

Seth Rollins competed in the main event of WWE RAW's debut episode on Netflix last week at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, California. The former World Heavyweight Champion was defeated by CM Punk on the premiere show.

The Visionary must compete in the Men's Royal Rumble Match this year to prove to himself that he still belongs at the top of the card. Rollins could also make it his mission to prevent CM Punk from earning his way into the first WrestleMania main event of the latter's career.

#4. Drew McIntyre should be part of the 'Rumble

Drew McIntyre had an epic rivalry against CM Punk last year but came up short in the Hell in a Cell Match against The Second City Saint at WWE Bad Blood. The Scottish Warrior went on hiatus for several weeks following the loss but returned on the December 2 episode of RAW to target the OG Bloodline's Jey Uso and Sami Zayn.

Jey Uso picked up a surprising victory over McIntyre last week on RAW. The former World Heavyweight Champion should be a part of the Men's Royal Rumble Match next month, and he could target Roman Reigns and other OG Bloodline members, after it was announced this past Friday night on SmackDown that The Tribal Chief would be entering the bout.

#3. Ludwig Kaiser should have a strong showing in the Men's Royal Rumble Match

RAW Superstar Ludwig Kaiser is currently a member of Imperium alongside World Heavyweight Champion Gunther. The veteran will be competing against Sheamus in a grudge match tonight on RAW. Bron Breakker successfully defended the Intercontinental Championship against Kaiser and Sheamus in a Triple Threat Match at Survivor Series 2024.

Sheamus missed a few weeks of action due to a rib injury following the premium live event, and Kaiser took credit for putting the former champion on the shelf. Gunther has been trying to get Kaiser to make a name for himself on the red brand.

The 34-year-old must have an impressive showing in the Men's Royal Rumble Match next month, keeping up with his recent push, and potentially even setting up a title match against Gunther down the line.

#2. Becky Lynch should enter the Women's Royal Rumble Match

Becky Lynch won the Women's World Championship in a 14-woman Battle Royal last year after Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the title due to injury. Liv Morgan defeated The Man at WWE King and Queen of the Ring last year in Saudi Arabia with the help of Dominik Mysterio to become champion.

Lynch has not been seen since her loss to Morgan in a Steel Cage Match on the May 27, 2024, episode of RAW. The veteran could make her triumphant return during the Women's Royal Rumble Match next month and may emerge victorious to set up a rematch against Rhea Ripley.

#1. Charlotte Flair should return to glory at Royal Rumble 2025

WWE fans have been waiting for over a year for Charlotte Flair to return to the ring. The former champion suffered a significant injury in December 2023 and still has not returned to the ring.

If Flair is ready to return to action, she must be one of the entrants in the Women's Royal Rumble Match. She could be the last woman standing, potentially setting up an exciting clash against either Rhea Ripley or Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41.
