WWE Superstar Sami Zayn is one of the most interconnected wrestlers on both RAW and SmackDown. However, the Canadian star is currently facing some trouble maintaining his relationships with the changing dynamics and motives between superstars.
Here is a list of three stars he is still friends with and two stars he doesn’t see eye to eye with.
#5. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are brothers for life
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have been longtime friends. They have known each other since their days on the indie circuits when they were Kevin Steen and El Generico. The duo has worked together for the longest time, both as friends and enemies.
A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.
KO and Zayn teamed up last year and held the Undisputed Tag Team Championship between April and September 2023. Sami had promised The Prizefighter that he would fight The Bloodline after discovering the true colors of Roman Reigns last year.
However, since Zayn is back in the OG Bloodline, tensions between them could rise again. Owens has already attacked Cody Rhodes multiple times after he teamed up with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood, and he could set his focus on his longtime friend.
#2. Drew McIntyre is a new enemy of Zayn
Drew McIntyre recently returned to WWE RAW a few weeks ago and attacked Jey Uso and Sami Zayn. The Scottish Warrior went on a hiatus after losing his feud with CM Punk at Bad Blood in October.
The Scotsman now has defeated Zayn two consecutive times. With this, he now holds a 10-0 singles record against the former Intercontinental Champion. McIntyre has declared a war against all members of the OF Bloodline.
In a recent interview, Zayn gave McIntyre his flowers and called him a beast in the ring. However, he also noted that he had a strong dislike for The Scottish Warrior.
#4. Roman Reigns is Zayn’s Tribal Chief once again
Zayn had joined the OG Bloodline at the height of its power and during the Undisputed WWE Championship reign of Roman Reigns. The Head of the Table accepted the Canadian star into the fold despite not carrying Samoan blood in his veins.
However, at Royal Rumble 2023, Sami later turned on the OTC and hit him in the back with a chair when he was being forced to use it on Kevin Owens. Reigns lost all his power and Bloodline following WrestleMania XL, where he lost his title to Cody Rhodes. Solo Sikoa took over the faction. However, when the OTC returned at SummerSlam, he was outnumbered by Sikoa and his stablemates.
Sami Zayn has rejoined the OG Bloodline and helped Reigns get back on his feet. The two had to work through several misunderstandings, but thanks to Jey Uso, Sami agreed to help the OTC in the WarGames match at the Survivor Series, where Reigns-led Bloodline and CM Punk secured victory over Solo Sikoa’s crew and Bronson Reed.
#3 & #2. The Usos recognize Zayn as Sami Uso
The chants of Sami Uso flooded the WWE arena each time Zayn did a segment with The Usos, where he tried to rebuild his bonds. The YEET Master had joined the crowd and acknowledged the Canadian as an Honorary Uce as well.
Sami Zayn has a thick bond with Jimmy and Jey and is always ready to fight for them. The three wrestlers have seen it all together as they stood together and fell apart while supporting Roman Reigns.
#1. CM Punk isn’t a Zayn favorite
CM Punk has a professional or personal beef with several names in the pro wrestling industry. While The Best in the World isn’t afraid of getting on the bad side of people, Zayn isn’t afraid of acknowledging and admitting that he doesn’t particularly like someone either.
The Canadian star said that he still has many unresolved issues with The Second City Saint, but he can ignore them to keep the fans happy.
Sami Zayn also acknowledged that he didn’t particularly like working with CM Punk when he spoke to Seth Rollins in a promo following Survivor Series: WarGames.
#1. Seth Rollins and Sami Zayn started their careers . together
Sami Zayn and Seth Rollins recently found themselves on opposite sides because of several misunderstandings. The Visionary doesn’t shy away from expressing his hatred for both Roman Reigns and CM Punk, and Zayn is currently loyal to The OTC. This led the Canadian star to believe that Rollins carried out the backstage ambush on Jey Uso a few weeks ago.
However, The Architect successfully de-escalated Zayn’s anger and cleared himself of suspicion. Rollins was also annoyed at the former Intercontinental Champion for suspecting him when they started their careers two decades ago and their kids played together.
Thus, Zayn has ties with several top stars in WWE. As they constantly demand him to pick sides, it would be interesting to see what lies in the future for him.#
