Sami Zayn hasn't been seen on WWE TV since his dental surgery which has seemingly been keeping him on the sidelines and also recently cost him the Intercontinental Championship.

Zayn will have some unfinished business with either AJ Styles or Daniel Bryan when the new Champion is crowned following the finale of the tournament, but he may not be added to a feud with either.

Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro have moved on since their partnership with Zayn, so there isn't really anything for Zayn over on SmackDown anymore.

Kevin Owens is looking lost on RAW without his longtime partner and both of their careers in WWE could be re-ignited if they were either partnered up or put up against each other on the company's flagship show.

There has been no update on Zayn's return date so it's unknown when the former Intercontinental Champion will be returning to WWE TV, but it would be an interesting swerve if he was to make his return on Monday Night RAW rather than SmackDown Live!
