The Judgment Day changed dramatically following the events of WWE SummerSlam this past Saturday night in Cleveland, Ohio. Damian Priest defended the World Heavyweight Championship against Gunther and was in control of the match. He connected with the South of Heaven Chokeslam, but Finn Balor put The Ring General's boot on the bottom rope to break up the pinfall. Gunther was able to then capture the championship from The Archer of Infamy.
Dominik Mysterio also betrayed his former stablemate Rhea Ripley at the premium live event. He helped Liv Morgan retain the Women's World Championship and shared a kiss with her following the match. Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Carlito, Mysterio, and Morgan are now known as the new version of The Judgment Day on WWE RAW.
Listed below are five WWE Superstars who will suffer because of the new Judgment Day.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
#5. Rhea Ripley will have to deal with the new Judgment Day on WWE RAW
Rhea Ripley was forced to relinquish the Women's World Championship after her victory over Becky Lynch at WrestleMania XL. Liv Morgan attacked The Eradicator backstage and took credit for injuring her. The 30-year-old also vowed to take everything from Ripley and has successfully stolen Dominik Mysterio from her on WWE television.
Ripley will be out for revenge in the coming weeks on WWE RAW, but the numbers game could catch up with her. She failed to capture the Women's World Championship at SummerSlam due to interference from Dominik Mysterio, and the same thing could happen when she gets another shot at the title down the line.
#4. The new Judgment Day will likely cause issues for Damian Priest on RAW
Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley have already banded together and made it known that they will try to take down the new version of The Judgment Day. However, The Archer of Infamy has already suffered greatly because of the new faction. Finn Balor stabbed him in the back at SummerSlam because he was still bitter about how Priest acted while he held the Money in the Bank briefcase.
Priest won the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match last year and teased cashing in several times during Balor's rivalry with Seth Rollins. The 41-year-old has lost his title and his faction so far. However, the issues between Balor and Priest appear to be far from over.
#3. The heel group could despise R-Truth
R-Truth spent months trying to join the original Judgment Day, but the group never accepted him. He reunited with The Miz to reform the Awesome Truth tag team, and the unlikely duo captured the World Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania.
Unfortunately, Awesome Truth's title reign was short-lived as Liv Morgan helped The Judgment Day's Finn Balor and JD McDonagh capture the titles on the June 24 episode of WWE RAW. R-Truth may think he is welcome in the new version of the group and could get beaten down if he tries to enter the faction's clubhouse like he did in the past.
#2. The new Judgment Day could target The Miz
The Miz served as the host of SummerSlam this past Saturday night in Ohio. Despite several opportunities to betray the former United States Champion, the A-Lister is still in a tag team with R-Truth. Awesome Truth lost to A-Town Down Under (Grayson Waller and Austin Theory) this past Monday night, and The Miz was visibly frustrated after the match.
However, the former WWE Champion embraced R-Truth after the tough loss on RAW, and it does not appear there is an issue within the struggling tag team. The new Judgment Day could view Awesome Truth as an easy target and go after the duo in the coming weeks.
#1. The faction could start a rivalry with Jey Uso due to his interest in Rhea Ripley
Jey Uso hilariously offered to take Rhea Ripley to Waffle House during a backstage interview last month on WWE RAW. Dominik Mysterio got jealous of Main Event Jey because he showed interest in The Eradicator and challenged him to a match. Jey picked up the pinfall victory on the July 15 edition of WWE RAW and could try to flirt with Ripley after Mysterio betrayed her at SummerSlam.
Dirty Dom may have moved on to Liv Morgan, but he still likely would take issue with Jey Uso making moves on his ex-on-screen girlfriend. Mysterio could ask his stablemates to help take out Uso if he attempts to ask Ripley out again on RAW.
