5 WWE Storylines that went way too far

#1 The Love Triangle (Matt Hardy, Lita, and Edge)

When news broke that Lita had cheated on real-life partner Matt Hardy, fans were not pleased. What made this all worse was that Lita had cheated with Edge, real name Adam Copeland, a long time friend of Matt.

Sensing drama, the company quickly fired Matt, but later rehired him after a series of attacks on Edge.

Making this a storyline, the pair had a bloodied war, including a cage match with saw Matt vanquish his former friend.

However, being forced to work together could not have been easy for the three Superstars, who clearly needed to have an open and frank discussion about the incident.

After a long battle, Edge eventually emerged the victor, with Matt losing a loser leaves RAW match, and moving to SmackDown.

Perhaps not a story that went 'too far', but definitely one that should not have been put out on TV for millions to see.
