A match between these two tremendous athletes has been heavily rumored ever since Rollins made his return from his injury in 2016. However, during the brand split in 2016, these two were drafted into different brands. Ever since WWE teased a Shawn Michaels return in the latest episode of RAW, dirt sheets have started reporting that this match might happen if The Showstopper decides to lace up his boots again.
According to Brad Shepard of Barnburner Radio’s Fired Up podcast, WWE is currently planning to get Shawn Michaels out of his retirement and one match they want the Heart Break Kid to work is with AJ Styles.
