#4. Randy Orton was very close to ending the streak
After parting ways with Evolution, Randy Orton set out on a journey of destroying legends, thus donning the moniker of “The Legend Killer”.
He crossed paths with The Undertaker during that time and the two superstars locked horns at WrestleMania 21. This was the first time someone challenged The Phenom for an express reason of destroying the streak.

The contest was pretty intense, especially considering the wide age gap between the two superstars. Orton did everything he could and at one point it seemed like The Streak was about to end, which of course didn't happen that day.
#3. The Demon Kane was a legit threat to his brother at WrestleMania XIV
Right after making his WWE debut, Kane targeted his "long-lost brother” The Undertaker. The masked demon was assisted by The Phenom's former manager Paul Bearer.
The two Goliaths crossed paths on many occasions, all of which led to a match at WrestleMania. Kane had an extremely dominating personality at the time, which made the majority of the fans believe that he could pull off a victory in the contest.
It was the first match since The Undertaker's debut where he had to work significantly to save his streak. Although Kane gave his brother a run for his money, he came up short.
The two superstars had a WrestleMania rematch at the 20th edition, which was also won by The Deadman.
