Being a professional wrestler is all about maintaining a healthy body. Sure, there are people like Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe whose natural athleticism and in-ring talent can easily carry them over the line without the need for a killer body, but that isn't the case for most of the men and women who are in the business today.
This is especially true in the WWE where Vince McMahon decides to hand out major pushes based on how people look rather than any innate talent that they have at their disposal. And, in order to ensure they don't get left behind due to their looks, a number of top WWE Superstars have adopted some pretty insane diets.
After all, they say that it's 80% diet and 20% gym when it comes to achieving the perfect body. And, in keeping with that philosophy, some of the most impressive looking wrestlers on the planet have decided to go that extra mile in order to eat what is best.
So, without any further ado, here is our list of five WWE superstars and their insane diets:
#5 Ryback
![Feed him more, please](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/a5d56-1503921679-800.jpg 1920w)
With a catchphrase like "Feed Me More", you would think that Ryback just doesn't get enough food on a day to day basis but nothing could be further from the truth. The former WWE star eats an incredible amount in order to maintain his monstrous body.
When he's not out disparaging the WWE on his podcast, Ryback indulges in a protein-rich diet consisting of steaks, chicken, fish, eggs, brown rice, etc. And he does this every two hours a day following his first meal.
And, what does he have for that first meal? Apparently a full bowl of pasta and a pound of steak. It seems incredible that he can still afford to keep eating this much since he's just been sitting around doing nothing except his podcast since he left the WWE.
#4 Brock Lesnar
![Brock is a freak of nature](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/b3601-1503921731-800.jpg 1920w)
Brock Lesnar is an avid follower of the Caveman Diet which basically translates to eat what you kill. What does that mean? Brock loves hunting and he takes to eating whatever he hunts in order to make his meals work. And, that involves a hell of a lot of protein.
Lesnar bases all of his meals around meats and more specifically, chicken and fish, supplemented by protein shakes, and a lot of water in order to keep himself in fighting condition.
There is little junk food involved and there have been stories of Lesnar eating enough food for a small army in order to maintain that incredible body.
#3 John Cena
![John Cena](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/8d2e5-1503926026-800.jpg 1920w)
Just looking at John Cena and his incredible work ethic, you know that the man is eating healthy. There is no other way you can maintain such a hectic lifestyle and still have the body of a man who is clearly in the best shape of his life. And, Cena's diet shows it.
He starts the day off with six egg whites, two whole eggs, 100g of oatmeal and protein bars before launching into his gruelling workout routine. Lunch is a side of brown rice with two whole chicken breasts, as well as veggies.
He then supplements himself with protein shakes and bananas as well as an evening snack of tuna. He ends the day with grilled chicken, more veggies, and brown rice or a salad.
Just, Wow. You can see why he's earned his reputation with the way that he eats.
#2 Jinder Mahal
![Jinder has worked hard on his body](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/1c0c9-1503921521-800.jpg 1920w)
If you have the body Jinder Mahal does without taking any steroids, you know that he has a superhuman diet. And, you would very well be right. Mahal has shown that with the right set of circumstances, a body like his will get you to the very top of the professional wrestling business.
The WWE Champion does his first workout on an empty stomach or just with a black coffee before eating oats and protein whey shakes along with bananas. Then, it's more protein after his second workout with a repeat of his first meal as he prepares for the rest of the day.
An hour after this workout, he starts his regular schedule of meals which is a mix of carbs and protein with typical meals such as chicken and rice, pasta and turkey, amongst others every few hours.
He also drinks two gallons of water every day.
#1 Goldberg
![Goldberg's diet got him ready for his in-ring return](https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg?w=190 190w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg?w=720 720w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg?w=640 640w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg?w=1045 1045w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg?w=1200 1200w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg?w=1460 1460w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg?w=1600 1600w, https://statico.sportskeeda.com/editor/2017/08/e3797-1503921598-800.jpg 1920w)
When Goldberg returned to the WWE last year at WWE Survivor Series, he was pushing 50 but still looked in the kind of shape you expect from someone half his age. His secret? A healthy diet to go along with his insane training. Here is an example of his daily diet.
The former WCW Champion starts his day off with 6 servings of oatmeal along with 20 blueberries before his morning training and after the workout, he eats 12 eggs with two yolks, six pieces of bacon and gluten-free toast with avocado. This is just the start.
He then eats two whole gluten-free pizzas with a load of hamburger meat and two protein shakes. After that, it's noodles, soup, and shrimp before his Muay-Thai training. After training, it's a repeat of the noodles, soup, and shrimp before a protein filled dinner to close out the day.
This is what you call commitment.
