The Miz should always be a heel for one main reason - he's fantastic in promos. He's been one of the best on the mic in WWE for most of his career. When he talked during his first decade in the WWE you just wanted him to shut up. But since he made such an impact as a bad guy, he started to get respect from people like me due to his dedication at being such a heel.

The A-Lister didn't always use comedic segments as a WWE villain but his feuds against John Cena and Nikki Bella and the New Day are reasons why he makes any heel persona work. The music videos between him and John Morrison are hilarious. Wrestling needs all types of heels from top to bottom.

The segments where he and Maryse mocked Cena and Bella leading up to their mixed tag match at WrestleMania 33 were also funny. While that isn't the only way he's maximized his work as a heel, it's been one of my favorites. His leading of the Miztourage was an example of him having minions do his dirty work.

And when he was Intercontinental Champion throughout the last five years, having his wife interfere helped to maximize his cheating tactics. The Miz can pull off a face if needed in WWE, but he's much better playing the guy you want to punch in the face.
