Aleister Black hasn't been seen on WWE TV in 2021 and hasn't wrestled on SmackDown since he was drafted to the brand back in October, but the star is still considered to be a huge prospect.
The former NXT Champion has already shown his worth throughout his time in developmental, where Black's martial arts background became a huge part of his onscreen character.

It was during Black's time in NXT that the star was part of one of the worst botches of his career when he defended the NXT Championship against fellow WWE star Lars Sullivan.
The two men collided at NXT Takeover: Chicago II in 2018 and when Black was about to deliver his Black Mass finisher, Sullivan was miles away and it became obvious that the move didn't connect at all.
The worst part of the botch was the fact that Sullivan sold the move as though it connected when it hardly even touched his arm. Luckily, The Freak did kick out of the pin, since that would have been a terrible way to end the match.
