#3 Edge (8-2 at WWE SummerSlam)
Edge is more of an understated contender for Mr. SummerSlam. He has had some memorable matches at the event while remaining incredibly consistent over his career. The Rated-R Superstar has a favorable win-loss record too.
Edge's first major match at SummerSlam was a TLC in 2000, where he teamed up with Christian to defeat the Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz. Following that, one could chart the WWE Hall of Famer's career progression through his matches at SummerSlam.
He defeated the likes of Eddie Guerrero, Chris Jericho and Matt Hardy at the event over the years. Edge rose up the card and retained his WWE Championship against John Cena at SummerSlam 2006. His winning streak came to an end in 2008, when he took on The Undertaker inside Hell in a Cell.
But what further helps the 11-time world champion's case is his pair of post-retirement returns at The Biggest Event of the Summer.
While his 2011 appearance with Christian was fun, Edge's return on the SummerSlam 2019 Kickoff Show was even more explosive. He hit Elias with a spear - his first since retiring from the ring. The Rated-R Superstar is set to shine on the SummerSlam stage once again, with a match against Seth Rollins coming up.
