Looking at his blockbuster list of matches at the event, it is hard to argue against Brock Lesnar being Mr. SummerSlam. He has headlined every edition he was a part of, aside from two of them.

Even then, The Beast Incarnate enjoyed excellent showings against Kurt Angle in 2003 and CM Punk ten years later. The latter will go down as an absolute classic - the quintessential 'David vs. Goliath' contest. Now, let's look at Lesnar's unbelievable record in SummerSlam's main events.

He won the WWE Championship months after making his debut, defeating The Rock at The Biggest Event of the Summer in 2002. Along with wins over Triple H and Randy Orton, Brock Lesnar crushed John Cena in the most one-sided main event in SummerSlam history at the 2014 edition.

Lesnar had another few wars at the August supershow, taking on The Undertaker in 2015 and Seth Rollins in 2019. Both matches showcased the 8-time WWE world champion at his best. His Universal Championship defense against Roman Reigns, Braun Strowman and Samoa Joe in 2017 was also excellent.

The Beast Incarnate has helped SummerSlam become a force once again, thanks to the rising importance of his matches in recent years. Brock Lesnar's star power will be missed at this year's event.
