#3. Randy Orton wins Booker T the WWE US Title by finishing a best of seven series against Chris Benoit for him

Booker T and Chris Benoit were in the middle of their second best-of-seven series in WWE, competing over the vacant United States title, when Booker T was injured during a house show and unable to finish.

SmackDown General Manager Teddy Long allowed Booker T to choose a replacement and he chose Randy Orton. Orton squandered a 3-0 lead that Booker had created, leading to a seventh rubber match between himself and Benoit.

Orton would go on to defeat Chris Benoit, ultimately winning the best-of-seven series and crowning Booker T as the new United States Champion. Naturally this was a lot of effort for The Viper to go through without getting anything out of it himself.

Randy Orton was obviously on the receiving end of the same thing on this week's RAW with Riddle trying to get him that Money In The Bank spot, but while Orton was successful in winning Booker T the title. Riddle failed!
