#3. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle
Kurt Angle was a top superstar when Brock Lesnar joined WWE in the early 2000s. Although they are now good friends, the two former amateur wrestlers' first encounter was anything but friendly.
"We got along really well, we didn’t know each other very well. But, you know, what happened was, and I don’t want to get deep into the story, but, Brock- someone asked him how you’d do against me in an amateur wrestling match and Brock said, 'I would crush him, I’m too big for him,'" Angle said on The Kurt Angle Show.

When the WWE Hall of Famer heard what Lesnar said, he decided to confront him backstage.
"So I approached Brock and said, 'So you said you could beat me in a wrestling match?' He said, 'Well, yeah'. And I said, 'Well, let's go right now.' And he said, 'No, no, I don’t want to get in the ring, I have my sandals on.' I said, 'Well, we'll wrestle barefoot.' And he said, 'No, I'm not gonna do that.' And I said, 'Well, just be careful what you say,'" Angle added.
Despite kicking off their relationship on the wrong foot, the two wrestlers later became close friends. According to Angle, his confrontation with the former Universal Champion broke the ice between them and made them more comfortable around each other. A couple of weeks later, they became travel partners.
Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle shared the ring several times in WWE as partners and opponents. They went one-on-one six times. The Beast Incarnate defeated The Olympic Gold Medalist in four matches and lost two.
