Looks like SummerSlam will go on without Kevin Owens

Kevin Owens has been used sparingly on television for the last couple of months and it doesn't look like that trend is going to change at the upcoming SummerSlam. Between his big loss to Randy Orton or RAW and rumors of him being sidelined due to the return of Rey Mysterio, it looks like they have nothing for him.

While that is nothing short of heartbreaking, especially since Owens is the kind of high caliber Superstar that deserves a spot on a big four pay-per-view, it looks like WWE doesn't see it that way. Furthermore, even if WWE were to find something else for Owens at SummerSlam, they have very little time to do it.

Hopefully WWE will find a feud for Owens in the future that allows him to thrive in the upper midcard, but it looks like he will be sidelined for now. Unfortunately for Owens, that means missing out on the SummerSlam pay-per-view and hurting any momentum he may have created on television the last few weeks.
