While AJ Styles picked up an injury at the Royal Rumble in 2020, there is nothing saying that a match between him and Edge could never happen in the future. The Face that Runs the Place vs. The Ultimate Opportunist would certainly make for an interesting pairing.

AJ Styles has proven in the past that he can work with everyone and he has certainly worked with the best that the WWE Roster has to offer including, John Cena, Roman Reigns, Shinsuke Nakamura, Kofi Kingston, Daniel Bryan and so many others. The list is endless as Styles proved why he became WWE Champion in the first place.

To be clear, it's not that the two haven't met in the past. It's just that it was not in an official wrestling capacity as their interactions were regulated to promos and interviews. Considering that Styles is high;y experienced, Edge would be in very safe hands.

While the probability of this pairing happening in 2020 is unclear at this point, wrestling fans would hope that it happens sooner rather than later.
