When Goldberg first came to WWE back in 2003, he never actually took on The Master Manipulator as he was involved in feuds with Triple H and his Evolution stable as well as Brock Lesnar. It's not the match that everyone would have on their mind, but there is a basis for the match.

Both men are from the Attitude Era who are still wrestling today. Goldberg was heavily reliant on The Spear as was Edge for the longest of time. While both men got their starts around the same time, the two never actually met. Of course, Edge had retired by the time Goldberg came back to WWE.

In a bit of a twist, while Goldberg never took Edge on, Christian wasn't that lucky as the two squared off on Monday Night RAW back in 2003 in a steel cage. Of course, the idea of Edge getting revenge for his friend is absurd at this point, but it can certainly play a part in a potential match with Da Man.
